Sigrids Stue er en samarbejdsbaseret kunstplatform baseret i Gellerupparken i Aarhus DK. Vi indgår i og initierer både lokale, nationale og internationale kunst- og researchprojeker, byrumsprojekter, bogudgivelser og tværfaglige samarbejder.
Sigrids Stue fokuserer på det offentlige byrum og vi forholder os kritisk, undersøgende, visuelt og producerende til den omfattende byudvikling, som foregår i Gellerup.
Vi arbejder ud fra en aktiv og kunstnerisk tilstedeværende praksisform i den lokale hverdag. Sigrids Stue arbejder involverende, rumligt og æstetisk med bl.a. at skabe sociale byrum, værker og projekter i det offentlige rum. Det sker i både tegning, model og i 1:1.
Sigrids Stue er lokaliseret i en lejlighed på 3. sal i det almene boligbyggeri, en nyttehave mellem blokkene samt i Sigrids UdeStue, som er et intervenerende kunst -og byrumsprojekt. UdeStuen består bl.a. ombyggede mandskabsvogne og containere samt et inviterende udeområde. Her finder man bla. Nyttehaven, Plantesanatoriet, Sten-Sti-Dige og meget mere. Alle er velkommen til at slå sig ned på vores terrasser, bænke eller græsareal – få en kop kaffe eller myntete og en snak om planter, kunst, liv.
Vi inddrager desuden børn og unge i vores kunstneriske arbejde. Det sker dels i regi af Sigrids Stues Tegneskole, workshops og samarbejder med de lokale organisationer og institutioner samt dels ved at have fritidsjobbere tilknyttet som unge projektmedarbejdere.
På denne måde har vi, som kunstplatform, været aktive siden 2016.
Sigrids Stue består af et tværfagligt team af engagerede personer fra æstetiske, kulturelle, kunstneriske og sociale fag og studie.
Sigrids Stue er en selvorganiseret platform – økonomisk baseret på ansøgte offentlige og private fondsmidler og selvfinansiering (foredrag, workshops, kunstopgaver m.m.)

Sigrids Stue is a collaborative art platform based in Gellerupparken in Aarhus Denmark. We participate in and initiate local, national and international art projects, research and projects in urban space projects and interdisciplinary collaborations. We are also publishing books and printet matter.
Sigrids Stue focuses on the public urban space and we relate critically, investigatively, visually and productively to the extensive urban development taking place in Gellerup.
We work from an active and artistically present form of practice in the local everyday life. Sigrids Stue works in an involving, spatial and aesthetic way to create social urban spaces, works and projects in the public space. This is done in both drawing, modelling and in 1:1.
Sigrids Stue is located in an apartment in the public housing estate, a utility garden between the blocks and in Sigrids UdeStue, which is an intervening art and urban space project. UdeStuen consists of converted containers as well as an inviting outdoor area. Here you will find, among other things. Nyttehaven/The utility Garden, Plantesanatoriet/The Plant Sanatorium, Sten-Sti-Dige/Stone-parth-wall and much more. Everyone is welcome to sit down on our terraces, benches or lawn for a cup of coffee or mint tea and a chat about plants, art and life.
We also involve children and young people in our artistic work. This happens partly through Sigrids Stue Drawing School, workshops and collaborations with local preeschools, and partly by employing young people as project workers.
In this way, as an art platform, we have been active since 2016.
Sigrids Stue consists of an interdisciplinary team of committed people from aesthetic, cultural, artistic and social field.
Sigrids Stue is a self-organised platform – financially based on applied public and private funds and self-financing (lectures, workshops, art projects etc.)
