Relationer, undersøgelse og produktion
Nyttehaverne, Dortesvej, Gellerupparken – august 2023 I samarbejde med det London-baserede kollektiv Mother Tongues har Sigrids Stue igen sat fokus på værdien af offentlige tilgængelige byrum.
I dette projekt er vi aktive i det særlige halvoffentlige stykke byrum, som Nyttehaverne ved Dortesvej i Gellerup lidt tid endnu repræsenterer. Det sker klos op ad den igangværende nedrivning af en af boligblokkene.
Med venlig imødekommenhed fra de aktive havebrugerne har Sigrids Stue og Mother Tongues igennem de sidste par uger dagligt arbejdet i nyttehaverne.
Vi har via samtaler, fælles undersøgelser og produktion forholdt os til jorden, stedet, planterne og havernes sociale strukturer som erindringsmateriale. Vi har inviteret specifikke fagligheder ind i projektet og har sammen inddraget arkæologiske udgravninger, registreringer, tegninger, fotografi og tryk.
Tirsdag d. 22. august præsenterer vi det alternative arkivmateriale som både proces og produktion. Det sker fra klokken 16 til 18 i have nr. 4 og 6 i Nyttehaverne ved Dortesvej. Sigrids Stue ruller Kaffevognen ud og serverer te og kaffe og lidt mundgodt.

The Utility gardens, Dortesvej, Gellerupparken – August 2023
In collaboration with the London-based collective Mother Tongues, Sigrids Stue has once again focused on the value of publicly accessible urban spaces.
In this project, we are active in the special semi-public urban space that the utility gardens on Dortesvej in Gellerup still represent for a little while longer. This is happening right next to the ongoing demolition of one of the apartment blocks.
With the kind cooperation of the active gardeners, Sigrids Stue and Mother Tongues have been working daily in the utility gardens over the past few weeks.
Through conversations, joint research, and production, we have engaged with the soil, the place, the plants, and the social structures of the gardens as material for memory. We have invited specific disciplines into the project and have jointly incorporated archaeological excavations, registrations, drawings, photography, and prints.
Tuesday, August 22, we will present the alternative archive material as both a process and a production. This will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. in gardens number 4 and 6 in the utility gardens on Dortesvej. Sigrids Stue will roll out the coffee cart and serve tea, coffee, and snacks.
